Way back in the late nineties, a mute yellow rabbit quietly took over the airwaves — and nobody saw it coming. Untalkative Bunny started as a short by Graham Falk, produced by Diane Craig at Dynomight Cartoons, and dropped onto MTV’s Cartoon Sushi in 1997 like a tiny, silent grenade. Two years later it hopped over to Nickelodeon’s KaBlam!, and by two thousand one it had grown into a full series on Teletoon: 3 seasons, 39 episodes, a 195 shorts. For a show about a rabbit who never says a word, it sure made a lot of noise.

The bunny’s world was Ottawa in disguise — a city of squirrels, a cranky Emu, and a Beaver who was always chasing the next trend. Falk directed and storyboarded the whole thing, with writing from Karolina Craig and Jordan Craig, and the series later bounced over to Disney Channel across Europe and Asia. Falk went on to Adventure Time and Summer Camp Island, but Untalkative Bunny never really left — it’s still got a cult following that speaks volumes without saying a thing.
